Colve is a Windows application and a website. The application takes the text you select or copy, or a picture of your screen when you press its shortcut, asks an AI model about it, and delivers the answer to a WhatsApp number you choose. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Colve, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Colve you agree to this policy.
Account information: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and password. Passwords are stored in a securely hashed form, and we can never read them.
What you send for an answer: while the application is listening, each text you select or copy and each picture of your screen you take with the shortcut is sent to our servers, and from there to our AI provider, to produce the answer. We do not store these texts, pictures, or answers on our servers. We keep only a record that a request was made: its time, its kind (text or picture), whether it succeeded, and its size in AI tokens.
Payment information: payments are handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card or PayPal credentials. We keep the payment's amount, status, time, and PayPal's reference for it.
Technical information: log data such as your IP address and the requests you make. We use it to keep the service secure, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.
The Windows application keeps on your computer only: the two WhatsApp numbers you enter, the link to your WhatsApp account, your sign-in to Colve (stored encrypted), and the list of texts and answers shown in its window, which is cleared when the application closes. A text or a copy that another program marks as private, as password managers do, is never read.
We use your information to operate the service, sign you in securely, check that your subscription is active, send account emails such as verification and password reset messages, respond to your messages, protect the service against abuse, and improve how Colve works. We do not use what you send for answers for advertising.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that make Colve work: the AI provider that receives each text or picture to answer it, PayPal for payments, and our email provider for account emails. Each of them handles the data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
The application links your own WhatsApp account as a linked device, the same way WhatsApp Web does, and sends each answer from your number to the number you choose. The link is stored only on your computer, and the messages travel through WhatsApp and not through our servers. Colve is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. You can remove the link at any time from the application or from the linked devices list in WhatsApp on your phone.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it signs you out everywhere, removes your profile photo, and closes the account so nobody can sign in to it. We keep a closed record of the account with its payments and subscriptions, because we are required to keep financial records.
All traffic between you and Colve is encrypted. Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to fix problems quickly.
You decide what is sent: the application sends nothing while it is stopped, and you can stop it at any time. You can update your profile, change your password, remove the WhatsApp link, and delete your account. Think before you select or capture sensitive information while the application is listening, because it will be sent for an answer.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Colve after a change means you accept the updated policy.
